Our Process of Care
Proper care of ADHD or anxiety is a process—not a one-time fix or solution. We see effective growth realized through understanding, relationship, and coordination with other caregivers. This is a group effort, and we’re with you through the journey. Our four-step process includes:
-
By taking time with you and your child we will pinpoint your child’s strengths and areas for improvement. We will review your child’s medical and developmental history, review documentation that you provide from the school or prior providers, and complete additional screenings as needed to arrive at a diagnosis.
-
We help you understand your child’s challenges and choose treatment options that will allow your child to succeed. We empower parents to be the experts in their child’s care.
-
We will provide treatment recommendations that include counseling, coaching, medications and other adjunctive therapies. If parents opt to proceed with medication, Dr. Young will be able to prescribe and manage medications.
-
We are able to interact with teachers, counselors, coaches and therapists to develop a unifying vision and treatment plan for your child.
“Dr. Young is a wonderful pediatrician. She is very caring with all of her patients. If you are looking for someone who will treat you like family while providing excellent care, this is it!”
